Customer Focused, Customer Driven

Energy Strategic Alliance. That's what we call it. As opposed to outsourcing, a strategic alliance affords our customers the opportunity to be as involved as they want to be in each step of strategy development and implementation efforts for their energy supply chain.

Some customers want us to develop and implement an agreed upon strategy with little input from them. Other customers, especially those with in-house energy departments, want more input into the process. Either way is fine with us. After all, it's all about meeting your needs.
   

Energy Supply Chain Management

The energy supply chain is made up of several, seemingly unrelated, non-core functions within your business that impact your operational strength, energy management efficiencies and financial results. EMR will work with you to coordinate your energy supply chain to help you achieve increases in both operating efficiencies and bottom line results.

 

EMR recognizes three primary energy supply chain models in the market.

  • Fragmented Model - characterized by lack of system-wide coordination of objectives which can lead to disorganization, and even, counter-productive activities in buying processes.
  • Result: Inefficient supply chain leading to higher procurement costs and missed opportunities.

  • Delivery-Channel Model - characterized by suppliers owning their own delivery capabilities and acting as a sales agent for delivery.
  • Result: Costs are reduced by centralization and elimination of inefficiencies, but savings flow to the seller with the customer surrendering operational flexibility.

  • Customer-Agent Model - characterized by centralized integration of objectives and processes under the direction of the customer's agent.
  • Result:  Costs reduced through maximization of supply chain efficiencies, savings directly impacting the bottom line as the customer retains operational control and flexibility in managing its core processes.

EMR works on your behalf with an "open book" approach.  At the outset of our relationship, we will deliver to you a list of projects we think will maximize your operational and financial objectives.  From this list, you choose the objectives you want to pursue, not EMR.  We then implement your objectives and manage the process.

Over the life of our relationship we will continue to work as a part of a Strategic Energy Alliance to help you take advantage of changes in the energy market, such as declining prices brought about by deregulation, technology, or other market conditions.
